One of our foremost Milcom leaders, Hessian has been a brilliant contributor, natural communicator, and all around stellar Pacifican since the moment she entered our doors. Joining MilCom in early June, Hessian adjusted rapidly and answered any and all calls to action as often as she could. Despite the many adjustments and new undertakings Milcom went through over the course of this summer, Hessian was able to quickly and proactively adapt to a wide variety of situations.

As merely a NCO, Hessian oversaw the pre-planning of the Endurance 10k Population Day Chain, and was one of the largest contributors for chainwatching across all shells as a whole during the event. As a Lieutenant, Hessian answered the call to move to Strength, and began to rapidly and eagerly contribute in the pre-war planning and execution of every Strength war since. As a Captain, Hessian expanded her roles, going beyond the realm of just “war planning” and delving into department management, creating several systems, websites, and tools that have contributed to the further expansion and solidification of our Milcom structure. And, as a Colonel, Hessian was one of the keystone contributors during our Halloweek efforts, being at once one of the foremost chainwatchers and pre-chain planners throughout the event, focusing not just on any individual chain or effort, but everything, all as a whole.

Even outside of specific departmental contributions, Hessian has simply been a kind face and helpful figure to many, many folks, new and old alike; these sorts of contributions are the sort of thing that can often go by missed, but they are the backbone of what makes our community prosper. Hessian in short, has been nothing but an outstanding and exceptional Pacifican during her time here, and I certainly hope that we have only more to see from her in the future.
