Marina first joined the NPO in the Cyber Nations branch in April 2014. Ironically, Marina joined Cyber Nations hoping it would be what Nation States is: a game with much more roleplaying. Despite it not meeting her expectations, she began contributing within days of her graduation of the Academy by joining several departments, including the Media Corps, Recruiter Corps, and Diplomatic Corps. Unsurprisingly to any who know her, due to her hard work, dedication, and skills, she quickly rose through the ranks in every department she served in. In the Diplomatic Corps, she would reach her highest positions: serving as Special Envoy and then Diplomatic Legate in under 6 months. She quickly became a trusted confidante of the Imperial Officers, as she was a capable diplomat, a wise political analyst, and a manager with creative ideas on how to restructure the department during a time of decreasing membership. But her contributions were not limited to the Diplomatic Corps: she was an essential part of the Media Corps, Pacific University, and Pacific Financial as well. She helped author huge portions of the Pacific University coursework, wrote countless Media articles, and served doing menial work in Pacific Financial. Marina was a cornerstone of the alliance during the renaissance under Emperor Letum. She was viewed by many as a likely Imperial Officer in 2015. Her abrupt departure in 2015 from Cyber Nations was thus felt hard by many. Thankfully, however, she did not depart the New Pacific Order entirely. In times of need, she reactivated her nation, including in a global war that broke out in 2024, continuing to play a game she did not particularly enjoy to help the NPO.

She would join the fledgling Politics & War NPO branch, actively participate as a member in the branch for wars and other activities, then rise to Foreign Affairs leadership.

Marina took over Legio Pacifica's management as a Senator in 2020, but in late 2019 she was already commanding more ops than anyone else as first a Decanus, then Centurio, and finally as Praefectus. She trained generations of officers for Legio and was both the effective and then de facto head of the military for many prominent antifascist operations. Her work led to the rise of a record number of successful operations and kept the fascists from achieving anything major. She also was a major commander in NS Antifa. Under her, excellent officers with decorated records such as Dimitri and Ender (both later Senators of Military Affairs) and Chi (Praefectus) were trained.

Marina was one of the first Moderators of the NPO community. She contributed heavily to its structure and direction from the very beginning. When the Director positions were introduced, she was selected to be the first Director of Moderation. In this role, Marina effectively created the structure and backbone of the Mod team and the rules followed. She contributed valuable advice and executed action against those who broke the community rules. While she eventually stepped down, she later became Director once more on behalf of the NS branch as its Empress. Once there again, she further added to the functionality of the Director/Executive team and was invaluable to many efforts and discussions undertaken by them. Her presence in leadership as a major figure and Senior Moderator in the Order have also been further exemplified by her activity and valuable advice and the comfort brought to members and leadership alike simply by her stalwart presence and gentle guidance and encouragement of people to be their best selves alone. She has contributed heavily to the roleplaying component of NPO, setting up new RPs, and helping others run RPs. Marina also has put substantial effort towards bolstering member engagement by chatting a lot and running numerous think games and other activities. Her work in ensuring the wellbeing of the Order and its members itself is thus easily as impeccable and steadfast as it is impressive.

Marina is among those who have made the biggest positive impact upon our community and its members. Today we recognize her dedication and contributions.
