Pacifican Eminence awards for Roquentin

In Politics and War, the New Pacific Order is widely remembered for the deeds of Roquentin, its second and longest-serving Emperor. Serving from the resignation of its initial Emperor, Frawley, in 2016 to the closure of the branch in 2020, Roquentin led one of the NPO's more notable branches tirelessly through widespread external opposition and managed to grow the organization into a military juggernaut which was only stopped by act of admin. The Order benefited from Roquentin's effective and indefatigable leadership during virtually its entire existence, from the days of the pre-NPO Vanguard alliance through stints as Imperial Officer and Regent before his ascent to the throne.

Roquentin was the one to oversee the realization of Imperator Emeritus Frawley's vision of a well-tiered command economy. On his watch, the NPO developed economic strategies that were never bested and ultimately allowed for the greatest degree of economic control over a branch the NPO ever achieved. This system allowed for the creation of a military force which took the Cyber Nations strategy of victory by tier control to an extent that could not be matched by opponents. Roquentin was a unique Emperor in that through his tireless efforts to manage these systems, he largely ran both the economy and military personally during his reign, usually operating without formal Imperial Officers. In foreign affairs, he navigated a situation of opposition from the majority of the game and kept morale up through bitter wars and periods of isolation.

As a community leader, Roquentin was instrumental in transitioning the NPO to Discord and an early supporter of cross-game integration, regularly initiating cross-branch measures with NationStates. This activity led to him being elected as the initial Vox Populi in NationStates while concurrently Emperor in his home branch, and his policies in P&W brought in many Pacificans who were originally from other entities in Cyber Nations and NationStates, allowing foreign leaders in those games to see inside the Order and develop an appreciation for it which paid political dividends and brought in many later leaders of the NPO. As a community builder, he was crucial to our branch's survival in the relatively dull Politics and War, introducing or facilitating various community initiatives and events that have persisted long beyond his reign; for example, Roquentin was a longstanding organizer of Think games. The community Roquentin kept together in P&W served as the base on which the Torn branch eventually developed, counting many of his former staff among its early leaders.

As the defining figure of the branch he once led and one of the hardest-working Pacificans of all time, Roquentin is hereby awarded Pacifican Eminence.
