Pacifican Eminence awards for Xoriet

Xoriet came to the Order with a record of service in NationStates long enough to be recognized with a Commendation for her prior work. In her early days in the branch, the greatest calamity of the past decade befell the Pacific, and Xoriet stepped up to put her considerable skills to work in righting the ship. Under her steadfast guidance as Senator of Military and then Foreign Affairs, the NationStates branch underwent a reorganization that saw its transition from the problem child of both the organization and its game to a bulwark of sanity and reliability. Xoriet's efforts essentially built the modern Pacifican foreign affairs position, spawned multiple interregional organizations, saw a revitalization of anti-fascist activity in NationStates and the NPO, and reformed the Legio Pacifica into a fighting force feared throughout the game. When she stepped back to take an advisory role, it was with a record at the forefront of the illustrious roster of Senators past.

Upon the implementation of the Director position, after establishing herself as a capable leader and organizer in NationStates, Xoriet was selected as the inaugural Director of Human Resources. In this capacity, she aided in personnel organization measures throughout the organization as a whole. Her position eventually subsumed the role of Director of Moderation and she has presided over a period of stability in the operations of the moderator team. Issues have been rapidly resolved and incidents have been few during her tenure, and new moderators have been brought on to represent the changing face of Pacifica.

When the Politics and War branch folded, Xoriet accompanied the expedition to establish the new branch in Torn. In this realm, she rose to the position of Imperial Officer of Foreign Affairs, leveraging her long-developed NationStates experience to maneuver the Order through a turbulent political environment, forging the lasting ties that resulted in the Legion bloc and the prominent role of the Order in the Second Island War. Her efforts played a major role in the Order's survival of the various crises that befell it in 2023-24.

During Xoriet's time in Torn, the political situation in NationStates had changed both internally and externally, and in 2024 she was appointed the first Empress of the NationStates branch. In this role she assembled a new and effective Senate and led the resolution of most of the problems facing the branch. Her efforts have brought about a remarkable resurgence of the Order's fortunes, including new treaties, new departments, military success, fresh blood in leadership and membership, and an improved perception of the NPO. After a spectacularly successful six months at the helm, Xoriet stepped down to resume her Director duties in service to the Order as a whole.

The role Xoriet has played in the NationStates branch of the Order can be most accurately compared to those of Imperial Emperor in Torn and Letum in Cyber Nations–not the branch founder, but something akin to a re-founder in terms of scope and effect. Furthermore, Xoriet has a record of highly meritorious service outside her “home” branch. It is fitting, therefore, that Xoriet joins those two illustrious predecessors as a recipient of the Order's least commonly given award, Pacifican Eminence.
